Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers
We are very exicted to welcome some new additions to the St Clare's Community.
Congratulations Alex and Matt on the arrival of Sienna Velten
And congratulations to Leila and Alfredo on the arrival of Theo Perez
Even though it is a short week, it is a busy one. Our Year 4 students left this morning for a one night camp at Bayview Lodge in Grantville. They have arrived safely and have jumped right into their activities. We look forward to hearing their recounts we they return. The year 4 students and staff will have a rest day on Friday 7 November.
Today our Year 1 students have had an incursion looking at waste as a problem that needs to be avoided to address pollution and natural resource use. Students have learnt ways to avoid waste and respect the Earth’s natural resources through nature’s cycles & the 6Rs.
Then on Friday our Year 1 and Foundation students commence their swimming program at Splashes in Berwick. See dates below for each of there swimming sessions. Please ensure you send their swimming gear and students wear their sport uniform. The single subject timetable will be adjusted to allow for these classes to occur before they leave for swimming.
Next Tuesday 11 November is Remembrance Day. The students will particpate in a service at 10.50am on this day. Poppys and badges are available for purchase from the school office with prices ranging from $2 to $5
Lost property
We have a large container of lost property in the office
If your child has misplaced any piece of uniform please come and check the box and you are welcome to take any unmanned piece that may replace what has been lost.
Reminders
PAM Access
As advised earlier in the week PAM is currently not accessible for parents. Thank you for your patience and providing notificatino of absences via the alternative methods of call, message and email.
We ask you to continue reporting absences via phone 5940 6777 or email absent@stclaresofficer. catholic.edu.au until PAM is active.
With regards to permissions for upcoming events we will be sending home hard copy forms to ensure these can be returned prior to the activities.
This outage is a complete system outage and not isolated to St Clare's, so it will take some time to restore.
Intentions for 2026
As we approach the end of the 2025 school year, staff are now working on the class placements for 2026. To assist with this process we need to know of any students who are intending to not remain at St Clare's in 2026.
Therefore we ask all parents to complete the survey below for each child by Friday 31 October.
The admin staff will be in contact with the relevant exit forms if you indicate that your child is not returning.
